THE #1 MOST OFTEN ASKED QUESTION… IS IT SCARY????
Our reply is always going to be…. YES, Yes and Yeeeeeeees!!!! And as CRAZY BOB our World Famous Fearless-Leader and the recent recipient of the Haunted Attraction Associations “LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD” always says… “IT IS MORE FUN THAN A PERSON IS ALLOWED TO HAVE BY LAW”… “ALWAYS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED” and “NEVER, EVER… COME ALONE!!!!!” ALSO as an FYI… The HYDRO is proud and honored to be recognized this year as a TOP HAUNT in the USA by the Haunted Attraction Association. We are also a TOP 7 Haunted House awarded this great accomplishment in Ohio!
DOES THE HAUNTED HYDRO CHARGE FOR PARKING?
NO WE DO NOT. We secure the professional parking and security services of the Ohio Safety Team all included as part of your HAUNTED HYDRO EXPERIENCE!
WHAT ARE YOUR COVID-19/DELTA POLICIES?
COVID POLICIES: Will be based upon Local and federal mandates. At this time we suggest that those NON-VACCINATED wear safety masks and we are asking our staff to do the same. If you have any Covid-like Symptoms PLEASE stay home. We are unable to offer REFUNDS but will transfer your tickets to another date or another person can use them as well. In cases of emergencies we will help you out as best as we can. To transfer your online purchased tickets to another person it must go through Hauntpay for covid tracing protocol reasons.
SPECIAL NOTICE: Due to the ever-changing status of a Covid Pandemic by the CDC and the Governor of Ohio this 2021 Covid Policy can and will change as we receive updates throughout the Halloween Season. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS AND HOW DO I PURCHASE THEM THIS YEAR?
Tickets start at $25.00 this season and are for ALL AGES if you click this link it will give you all the information on ticket packages we are offering this year. CLICK HERE FOR TICKET PRICES
We are encouraging everyone to purchase their tickets online if at all possible. We are once again selling tickets by the hour and if you reserve online you can see what time slots are still open and choose the time that best fits your schedule. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE
Timeslots sometimes sell out quickly on given nights. We may add additional timeslots or increase hourly through-put for certain nights to accommodate demand. Please check back if your preferred date is sold out. We use a Virtual Q program for entrance into the park. Patrons who purchase tickets onsite may have to wait in their vehicles until their time slot is available to allow entry.
CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS ONSITE AT THE HYDRO THIS YEAR?
Yes, you can… however, they are $5.00 more at the door and you risk potentially a longer wait time due to online sales taking priority over walk-ups.
DOES THE HAUNTED HYDRO ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
Yes we accept all major Credit/Debit Cards and of course Cash for onsite purchases as well.
HOW DOES YOUR TIMED TICKETING AND VIRTUAL QUEUE LINE WORK?
Everyone must purchase a ticket by the hour. We sell a limited amount of tickets per hour. You must arrive during the hour you have purchased a ticket for. Upon arrival at the Hydro you will be given instructions on how to virtually check-in using your phones. You will then be put in our Virtual Reservations Queue Line and when it is your turn you will be texted to come up, get your wristbands and enter the Hydro at that time. You can wait in the comfort of your own vehicle.
We implemented this last year and it worked so well in controlling capacity, traffic flow and help with social distancing and gave the patron a much better overall experience we are doing it again this season.
WHAT IF I MISS MY TIMESLOT?
If you miss your timeslot and arrive late on the same night that your ticket was issued, we will do our very best to get you into the queue lines at the earliest possible time, but please know, those with a properly timed ticket will always get entry priority. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME as we cannot guarantee how long your wait will be should you arrive late. Please also know that this only applies to tickets bearing the proper date. “There is no way that expired tickets can be scanned once the date on your ticket has passed. There are no refunds, so please choose your ticket wisely. Timed ticketing restricts attendance and once a date passes, we have no way to sell that lost inventory again. Much the same as a concert, theater performance, or a sports game, we cannot issue refunds if you purchased a ticket and then did not attend.
CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION AND DO YOU OFFER FRONT OF THE LINE PASSES?
You can reserve a time slot to enter the Virtual Queue with purchase of an online Timed Entry Ticket. However, you can be granted expedited and sometimes immediate entry access to the front of the virtual Q by purchasing a VIP Ticket. VIP tickets are limited to a certain amount per hour and are ONLY available online.
I’M NOT ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE HAUNTED HYDRO ON THE TIME AND/OR DATE I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED? IS THERE A WAY FOR MY TIMESLOT TO BE CHANGED?
If you would like to reschedule your ticket, please either reply to your receipt email or send an email to email@example.com with your preferred date and time from our calendar at least 24 hours before your originally chosen date/time. As long as tickets are still available, and at the same or lower price, our ticketing support will be able to change your ticket time. Please know that there are no refunds and date/time changes are only possible up until a certain time (dependent upon your existing timeslot). Please also know that there are no refunds and that tickets cannot be exchanged/rescheduled if you purchased a ticket and did not attend.
DOES THE HAUNTED HYDRO OFFER GROUP RATES?
Yes we do… only if you purchase tickets ONLINE. Here is how it works… You will need to have a minimum of 10 people in your group to save $3.00 off each ticket. Everyone in your group must buy the same ticket package. Ticket choices are any of the MEGA HYDRO EXPERIENCE tickets. One person must pay for the entire group and our HAUNTPAY system will automatically give you the $3 per ticket savings when you checkout.
ARE THE MONSTERS ALLOWED TO TOUCH YOU?
Due to the Covid situation, the Haunted Hydro actors are instructed NOT to touch patrons and we expect the same courtesy in return from you. Please understand that is some areas of the Hydro it may be dark and accidental “touchings” do sometimes occur. The same goes for patrons… sometimes patrons get scared and may run into an actor or throw their hands up or in front of them and accidentally touch someone.
ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?
This is an intense scare location. The Haunted Hydro is suggested for adults and teens, but younger kids may come if parents choose to bring them. Our recommendation is at least 9 years old and above. You know your kids and how much they can handle. Some 9 year olds and even younger can handle more than say a 13 year old! Carrying children through is NOT permitted. There are no special prices for children and no refunds if anyone decides not to finish the haunt. There are many emergency exits throughout our attraction in case anyone gets too scared to continue. With that said… we create the Hydro each year for fright and fun from an adult viewpoint.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GO THROUGH YOUR HAUNTED ATTRACTION?
We like to tease and say… That depends on how fast you can run… LOL… but actually it depends on many factors. When you arrive with your nightly wristbands on you may have a small wait to enter the haunt. Once you enter, you go through at your own pace, so the length of the experience varies from group to group. This year it is ONE way in and ONE way out… you will enter the Monstrous Woods first and then follow along the river path that leads to the gigantic Haunted Hydro fortress – This walk thru experience will probably take most people 25-30 minutes to navigate. Once you exit the Hydro… if you have an Escape Room Ticket that could add additional time to your night. Our escape challenges are all 5-minutes plus any wait time. Your time in line will vary depending on the percentage of tickets sold during a given timeslot and whether you purchased a regular timed entry ticket or a VIP ticket.
WHERE CAN I FIND COUPONS OR DEALS?
The Haunted Hydro will occasionally offer special discounts… so keep an eye out on our social media pages…
WHEN ARE THE COUPONS VALID?
If we offer a coupon be sure to read them carefully to see what days and times they can be used.
IS THE HAUNTED HYDRO WHEELCHAIR OR SCOOTER ACCESSIBLE?
Yes the Hydro is Standard Wheelchair or small Scooter accessible. If someone in your group is in a Wheelchair, etc… make sure you let the Ohio Safety Team know as you enter the parking lot so they can park you in a Handicap spot. Also let the Ticket Booth know and they will do their very best to give you VIP access. Wheelchair and Scooters needs to be a normal width and length. Oversized mobility units will have trouble navigating some turns, etc… If the Woods is muddy, we will probably not allow access due to safety concerns. We can also try send a member of our Ohio Safety Team with you to help if you would be more comfortable.
ARE THERE STROBE LIGHTS?
Yes we do have a few rooms with strobe lights.
IS THERE A LOT OF SMOKE IN YOUR HAUNTED HOUSE?
We do use fog machines at the Haunted Hydro. Should you find the smoke too intense, there are emergency exits throughout the attraction.
CAN WE SMOKE AT YOUR HAUNTED HOUSE?
There is of course NO SMOKING or VAPING or CHEWING once you enter the Hydro main entrance. You can ONLY smoke out in the parking lot by your cars. PLEASE make sure you put out your cigarettes completely or use the proper receptacles. PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE or VAPE up at the Ticket Booth either… our crew HATES THAT and may ask you to put it out before they sell or give you your tickets.
IS IT A RIDE?
Visitors walk through all attractions here at the Haunted Hydro.
IS IT A MAZE CAN I GET LOST?
The Haunted Hydro is not a maze and there is only one way in… and one way out… with many emergency exits if you need to exit for any reason. Our staff can also help you if you get turned around in any areas.
IS IT DARK?
There are some areas that are very dark… it is… after all a HAUNTED HOUSE….!
CAN MY FRIENDS AND I WEAR OUR HALLOWEEN COSTUMES WHEN WE COME TO THE HAUNTED HYDRO?
No. For safety reasons, patrons are not permitted to wear costume masks covering their entire faces. Some exceptions have been made for Bridal Parties, Halloween weekend parties, Young Children, etc… but must be approved through management prior to entry.
ARE YOUR ATTRACTIONS OPEN IF IT RAINS?
YES! The Haunted Hydro is 90% inside and the Woods attraction has mainly gravel pathways and many covered areas as well. We have a covered waiting area too. We do recommend you bring rain gear, boots or sensible shoes you do not mind getting dirty or wet if poor weather is forecasted. Umbrellas one foot long or less when folded are allowed inside the haunted houses in a bag. Umbrellas over one foot may not be brought inside the attractions. There will be a place to deposit your umbrella before you enter the building but it will not be monitored and you must return to reclaim it. The Haunted Hydro is not responsible for umbrellas left in this manner. We recommend you leave umbrellas in excess of one foot in your car or at home. Rain gear and ponchos are recommended. Inexpensive disposable ponchos will be available on site for purchase. Given the timed nature of admission. If it is raining or rain is in the forecast. It is best to wait in your vehicle until your time slot begins, thus limiting time spent in inclement weather.
ONCE WE HAVE USED OUR TICKET CAN WE GO THROUGH AGAIN WITH THE SAME TICKET?
No. A new ticket is required for each visit unless you purchased the $50.00 Hydro Experience Ticket where you do get ONE same night repeat trip back through the Haunt.
ARE THERE ANY MOTELS/HOTELS CLOSE THE THE HAUNTED HYDRO AND ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL RATES?
Yes. There are a few great options in close proximity to The Haunted Hydro… CLICK HERE for a few options in our area.
DO YOU HAVE SECURITY OR EMT’S ONSITE?
Yes. The Haunted Hydro retains the professional services of the Ohio Safety Team for parking, security and EMT Services. We are also only 5 minutes from Promedica Memorial Hospital.
CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS OR VIDEOS INSIDE YOUR HAUNTED HOUSES?
No photographer or video taping of any sort is allowed in the haunts unless you gain permission in advance from management. Haunted houses are dark and people’s eyes (Especially the actors) adjust to the low light. When you flash your camera you are not only ruining other customer’s experiences but you’re hurting the actor’s eyes too.
Although no photography or videotaping is allowed inside (including nightshot), the Haunted Hydro does have a few monsters working outside who will quite often pose for pictures. There is also a cool Souvenir Photo Station in the Gift Shop area that offers some exciting options that can be directly sent to your email for you to share instantly with your social medial pages.
WHAT ARE WE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING WITH US INSIDE YOUR HAUNTED ATTRACTIONS?
No pets (including service or seizure, etc), No weapons, No alcoholic beverages, No cameras, No smoking, No vaping, No laser pointers or flashlights, No food or beverages.
DO YOU SELL FOOD, BEVERAGES AND/OR SOUVENIRS?
Yes. We sell souvenir t-shirts, hoodies, hats, beanies and all kind of fun things in our Gift Shop. We also have R & D Concessions onsite serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, French fries, ice cream and other dessert items. We happily accept most major Credit/Debit cards and Cash of course!
DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?
No. And NO ALCOHOL is allowed on the property, so please do not bring any.
ARE YOUR ATTRACTIONS THE SAME THIS YEAR?
We change up our attractions each and every year. So expect new effects, sets, scenes and scares! All new Escape Challenges as well each year!
IS THIS THE HAUNTED HOUSE WHERE THERE ARE 13 FLOORS AND WHEN YOU GET TO THE TOP YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK?
No… there is NO such Haunted House that we know of that does this. It is an Urban Legend…
CAN WE GET THROWN OUT OF YOUR PARK FOR ANY REASONS?
Yes. We do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind, alcohol, pot, intoxication, etc… We have a list of rules just like anyone else that must be adhered to for you and everyone else’s safety.
Those in violation of these rules may be asked to modify their behavior or leave the property without a refund.
ALSO… if you PUNCH a MONSTER you WILL GO TO JAIL… we have done it before and we will do it again if we have too!
